What should you not put in a storage unit?

A 10x20 unit gives you about 200 square feet of space, similar to a standard one-car garage. This size can typically hold the contents of a 2- to 3-bedroom home, including larger furniture, appliances, mattresses, and dozens of boxes. It’s also a good option for storing a vehicle, trailer, or small boat.

Can you sleep in a storage unit?

No, sleeping in a storage unit is not allowed—and it’s unsafe. Storage units are not designed or permitted for living or sleeping. For your safety and the safety of others, please use your storage unit only for storing approved belongings.
